Amazon Prime Day 2020: Potential dates, delay rumors, deals & more
Amazon’s annual Prime Day 2020 event isn’t likely to happen in July for the first time since it came about. This year, rumors suggest that Amazon is pushing it back until September, following issues the company faced during the COVID-19 outbreak. While unfortunate, it makes sense for Amazon to delay the event for several reasons. Consumers are affected by the economic slowdown, lots of people lost jobs during the outbreak, and supply chains are still affected by everything. While it would be awesome to have a small sense of normalcy and have Prime Day happen during July, it doesn’t look like that’s what will happen this year.
The delay could potentially change a lot of things about Prime Day 2020, especially with how much closer it pushes the event towards Black Friday and the holiday shopping season. There are a lot of unanswered questions at this point like what is this rumored Summer Sale that people are talking about, when will Prime Day be announced and take place, and should you buy on Prime Day or wait it out a few more weeks for Black Friday?
